At Clever Kiwi, we offer an assortment of writing, reading, math, art, and multipurpose notebooks, work books, and journals.
But what sets us apart is our “Anti-” approach. Remember Anti-Coloring Books? They were coloring books that included a drawing component on each page so that the creator had control of the picture. Well, Clever Kiwi books are like “Anti-Workbooks” because, with our books, the student has control of their education work. In other words, Clever Kiwi books follow the student, rather than forcing the student to follow the book.
Because of their special formatting and design (like the addition of tools and resources built right into the covers), our books empower students’ creativity, support each child’s learning style, and validate young people’s growth and achievement.
Clever Kiwi materials can be remedial or advanced. They can be used with individuals, small groups, or in a classroom workshop format. They can supplement existing curriculums or stand alone as independent teaching resources. And they work wonderfully at home.

"Hi, I’m Elizabeth Thuestad. I was a primary teacher for 35 years, and now I run Clever Kiwi. At the start of my career, I was lucky enough to work in a two room schoolhouse, teaching a multiage group of students. That experience shaped my view of education and taught me how to really see the children in front of me.
I loved seeing a student’s unique personality shine through in their work, seeing their eyes light up when they grasped a new concept, and seeing their sense of self-esteem and self-worth grow as they overcame new obstacles and challenges. And it’s this love of supporting and empowering students that drives my work and Clever Kiwi today."
